I can honestly say this is very true. Some of the most mathematically gifted people I know who can derive amazingly complex equations in their heads, don’t know pi to more than 10 places.
There’s alot more to life than memorizing universal constants, or as Einstein famously said “why would I bother memorizing that, when I can just look it up?”
